Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Ikea- I sing praise to thee!

So, we went to Ikea on Sunday...that was a total mistake. We only got about 30 minutes in the store before we just could not take the madness any more. Steven promised me we could go back and actually buy something on Monday night, which is just what we did.

First purchase from Ikea....
Two hours and two people assembling later, we finally got them all put together. Then the real fun began as we attempted to reposition our entire bedroom at like 9 PM. We got the bed (and all the stuff under it) moved and the old nightstands cleaned out and put into the new nightstands and even placed and made room for possible purchase #2:
I think we need some more storage options because our apartment only has the one closet in the bedroom. It might take some convincing of Steven, but I think I can win him over to my side with an argument about leaving "The Godfather" poster up.
My real wish though is this:

Is that not just GORGEOUS?!?
Consequently, Steven and I have agreed that I am not allowed to go to Ikea alone with a credit card. Now you know why.

We sort of got the same furniture! Well, it's totally different (black, not white, and different pieces) but it's at least the same "Hemnes" line. I love Ikea! I wish there were one closer than Chicago. Ikea is making me quite handy with a screwdriver, let me tell you. I agree about the bed! It would be so awesome to have an actual (pretty!) bed like that

I love it. Isn't it awesome!?! I think if we get the bed, it will be the black one. How cool that you guys have it too. Which ones did you get...if I could I'd buy everything! That's why I'm not allowed to go to Ikea by myself...and I agree, I'm very hand with a screwdriver now! J
