Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

June Pt. 1:

We started June by celebrating Steven and Colin’s birthdays with my side of the family. We were able to gather up at Red Robin in Sherwood for some family time on Saturday June 6th. It was a lot of fun to have a big table and everyone there being loud and lots of other people celebrating things as well.

We did presents and singing and laughing and talking. Steven got new jeans and Mario Kart for Wii from my Mom and Dad and Jam and fresh baked rolls from Donna and an Apple Gift Card from Shelly, Chris and Colin. Later I gave him Friday Night Lights Season 3 and a Myth Busters special DVD about movie myths! All in all- it was a great birthday celebration.

Colin received lots of crayola art supplies (the color wonder kind- they look too cool!) from Donna, and clothes from Mom and Dad. He was super excited about the art supplies- not so much so with the clothes. Clearly at this age- it is all about the toys. ☺
