Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Fourth of July Weekend-Saturday

This year we spent the first part of our long weekend out with my Parents. I brought the camera along and got a few shots of them around their gorgeous property. They've really worked hard to make it special and pretty and I love getting photos of them in their natural habitat! This is by the hot tub out in the back yard.Cruiser was outside laying in the grass to cool off. He's such a good doggie.Big shot of the garden out behind them, but nothing is big enough yet to be seen! I love their hand painted sign that points to places they love around the USA. It reminds me of M*A*S*H. Dad doing what he does best- being goofy around the BBQ. This shot makes me laugh so hard. He's so funny! Look at that face!! Love him to pieces!Herb harvests are always plentiful! I love when she puts them along the window in the Kitchen. We used them to make an herb butter for the rotisserie chicken we did on the BBQ for supper. YUM! It was a fun day of relaxing and chatting. Mom and I even went and did some antiques shopping that we've been meaning to do for a while now.
