Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Filming Wunder...

Yesterday Steven and I got to help a friend with his latest project. He's currently filming a feature length film called "Franklin Wunder"... I'm not sure if that will end up being the title of the movie or not, but it is the name of the main character and both Steven and I got small parts in the opening scene.

Steven is "Cell Phone Guy" and I am "Laptop Girl". It was so much fun spending time with Keith and Darren beforehand and then at the shoot. Plus we got to see so much of what goes on "behind the scenes". Since we have been watching so many movies lately- namely Steven's quest for seeing all of the AFI top 100 and all Best Picture winners- it was so great to see first hand what goes on.

Steven even had to improvise some lines about a Blazer game and that was out of his comfort zone! But I enjoyed it a lot. I have no lines but I think I have a close up and I will be credited! :) Major excitement on that one.

Yesterday was his first day of filming. He's got about 13 days of principle photography and then there will be editing. Chris (the master mind) has a "behind the scenes" blog series on his blog Art vs. Science which I linked to our page. I can't wait for him to post the latest as it will probably include scenes from our shoot.

Other stuff:
  • Not a lot going on around here. Still looking for work and all the joys that come along with that.
  • Helping Mom with her re-decorating kick and I'm making her a shower curtain using my Martha Stewart Craft Encyclopedia! I'm very excited for this project.
  • Just planted my yearly herb garden. I have mint for the first time!! Mojitos here I come! I'm looking forward to nice weather so I can get out with the camera and play.
