Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Spring Picnic

Right before Mother's Day we took a picnic and a long drive up to Crown Point. Steven's been wanting to get some shots of "Views of Oregon" for a galley wall we're working on in our house. Here are some of his shots from the Saturday:Beautiful day for photos. Vista House, up close.
Vista House and Crown Point, from the Women's Forum View Point. We also took a photo of the View Point Inn with the "long lens" for fun, but I didn't put them up here.
We stopped outside of Estacada for a picnic. People were fishing and having a good time.
Perfect sunny weekend in early May! We followed up with a trip to Troutdale for some antiquing... I'm looking for some tea cups... and Dinner at Typhoon. A perfect Springtime Saturday!
