Steven and I got a Wii last Friday. It is amazing. We've been enjoying playing it together every day. There were a few people that came over to play with us this weekend. We both had Friday off and it was nice to have an extra day together to just relax and have fun.
I didn't think Steven would be interested in using my Wii Fit, but he is and he's getting good at it. :) It keeps all the data and then shows you your "place" in terms of each exercise. It's fun to measure ourselves against each other in a good natured way. It helps us remember to use it each day. I just started today and my Wii Fit age is 25. I was pretty proud of myself. I hear it can be quite cheeky to you.
Steven has already done so well, so we'll see how well I do. We've got goals and everything set. I'm pretty sure that we are both looking at a 2 month goal. Might have to put a little bet on it and see who comes out victorious!

What's in your wallet?
My Friend Melissa did a super cute blog on what's in her handbag and I thought I would follow suit:
My bag: J. Crew canvas tote with vachetta leather handles, a Christmas present.
What's inside:

Conversational Gems...
Here are two excerpts from conversations I've had recently at work:
I thought you were the live help!
Another gem:
" As I try to walk into the ladies room at the office before heading home for the day, I'm confused when the door won't open...I see the "occupied" sign up and go to see which of the other two ladies it might be in my office. Shockingly it is neither of them... A conversation with the HR person ensues:
Me: Hey, the ladies room won't open...any idea what's going on?
HR Rep: Oh no one told you? The ladies room doubles as a men's room. You should always lock the door when you use it.
Me: No, no one told me that, I've never locked the door! What the heck?!?!
HR: Oh, well good thing no one has walked in on you then!
Indeed!
"I constantly get emails at work from the powers that be high up in my office, they tell me do misc things like "go to this link and fill out this test-NOW"...I received one of these the other day and so I try to do it... and when it won't let me log in, saying that my user name does not exist, this is what happened:
So I submit a work order.
A person calls me regarding my work order.
They say, well go to that link and put in your username...
I go to the link and of course, they deny me access...again.
They finally break down, open up the link, and try. They get denied.
Their response: Why don't you just click the live help feature at the bottom of the log in page. "See where that takes you."

The photo blog...
Steven set a lovely table for Valentine's day. We had pork chops from Julia Child's Mastering the Art of French Cooking! Steven picked out the recipe special for me. I loved it!
He looks so handsome!

Hugs and Kisses...
Upon my second Montana arrival, I proceeded directly to the nearest Albertsons (thank you to the random lady in line behind me that let me use her club card, I didn't have mine, that's 2.50 you saved me!) and bought some emergency chocolate. Last time I had a little meltdown and I wanted to be prepared!
At any rate, the only thing I could get my hands on in the Valentine's day aisle was Dove. They have little inscriptions on the inside.
Some I have gotten:
'Savor small romantic moments'
'Make plans to meet with a friend' (which I emailed you about Melissa!)
'Get swept away by love'
and
'Exercise your heart today'...and I'm exercising my heart by eating all this chocolate.
In other random-ness, earlier today I mistook the CEO of my company today for a random employee, but luckily the receptionist was there to "reintroduce" us. He laughed when I apologized for being frazzeled about not knowing who he was. Thankfully he has a sense of humor and I was smart enough not to make a smart alec comment about anything!
I helped myself get over it by getting in the company car (used is an understatement when it comes to describing it) and rocked out to the classic rock station that I love here. I'm getting ready to enjoy Scrubs on tv tonight and watching reruns of The Office on TBS (because they are on at 9 instead of 10!). Thank goodness for being on central time here, it simplifies my tv watching. Gotta love the bright side of things!

Annnnnddddd I'm Back!
Wow. It is February already!
Well its been quite a week. I got back from Montana on 1-30-09 and worked the next week. Mom and Shelly had their birthdays and on Thursday I got a phone call saying I was needed back in Billings...so here I am.
We had a great weekend though. I spent Friday baking in the kitchen, I made sea salt caramels which were delicious, if time consuming to make and some Devil's Food Cupcakes. I put some in a tupperware for one of my girlfriends. We exchange little gifts every year. She dropped by to pick them up and we got to chat and I got to show her around the apartment. Steven and I relaxed and watched "The X-Files".
On Saturday we went out to the Casino with Mom and Dad, Shelly and Chris and Grandma and Donna. We were celebrating Mom and Shelly's birthdays. We had a great time playing machines with Grandma and taking turns doing our little ritual button pushing things. We ate at the buffet and had a really good time. Dad and I stocked up on desserts to make up for losing a couple of bucks, but it was really fun to do a sampler platter with him :)
Sunday Steven and I got to go to the Blazer game with Darren, his brother and a few friends. We totally misjudged how to get there on the freeway and were almost late, but ended up getting there right on time and had a great time. They even pulled out a win at the buzzer. It was pretty exciting.
By the time we got home I had just enough time to pack and we woke up this morning early to get to the airport. It's been a long day but I'm happy to be getting home in time for Valentine's Day. Steven's cooking me a fabulous dinner. Now I just need to find a good dessert to make! Ideas?
