Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Holiday decorations...

We spent some time this last weekend digging out our Christmas decorations, putting away the Fall decorations and getting into the Holiday spirit.

Last night while I was waiting for our Monday night shows to start I sat by the fireplace, where the stockings are hung with care! Steven took my picture :)
This is the first place we've lived at where we can really hang the stockings over the fire place! It is really nice to be able to do that...To compensate for not being able to put lights up outside, we put lights up inside! Steven does them each year. This year's are the best ever! Here is the Kitchen area all lit up.This photo came out really well. We thought it would be fun to run the lights down the banister and it worked out really cool! The only outside lights we put up are on our balcony. Steven said when he put them up on Sunday, the little kids that play out front yelled "I like your Christmas Lights!"... We both see that as a sign of approval! And a good shot of them all lit up!

We are still working on the inside decorations, waiting to get our tree for another week or two and put it up. We've also decided to sign another lease, so we'll be here for a while and won't have to worry about not putting too much up since we'll be staying on after the new year!
