Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Honeymoon Pics!

We just got back from our wonderful Honeymoon vacation to Maui on Sunday. It was a great trip and I hope you enjoy this smattering of photos. More are available, email me for the links!

We decided that it would be totally awesome to go on a helicopter ride and it was the first activity that we did (Monday). Here is a shot I took of Steven videotaping it so we could relive it later :)
Our second activity was an AWESOME dinner at Mama's Fishhouse over in central Maui. They knew it was our Honeymoon and they brought me this fabulous lei. I saw this resturant featured on Food Channel (Giada's Weekend Getaways) and I had to have the dessert that she did. Little did I know that Steven had already made reservations! I'm so lucky!
Here I am hugging the tiki god on the beach that is right outside the resturant!

Later on in the week we went to a show in Lahaina and ate at Bubba Gumps. We were really disappointed when the waiter shorted us on our trivia. I still stand by the fact that my husband knows more about that movie than anyone else.
Our last adventure was The Old Lahaina Luau on our last night (Friday). It was truly amazing. I don't think I could go another luau now without comparing. We also had the best seats because Steven booked back in March!
Our table was completely honeymooners with the same anniversary and after the show was over they called all us up (there were more at other tables too) and we got to share a beautiful moon-lit dance under the stars on the beach. It was really memorable! This is the beach we were dancing on as viewed from our table. Spectacular!!
So, it was totally wonderful and we loved every moment of it. Getting home was a little tougher...we had a red-eye that was almost canceled and we managed to get a last minute seating change so we could actually sit together. It was a long day, but we came home and spent the day unpacking and resting.
We're already thinking of where we want to go next!
