Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

Julie's Birthday

Steven reporting here for the first time and just have to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my beautiful wife Julie.

Julie's birthday has been pretty laid back but fun. I let her open her birthday present from me on the weekend. It was a very nice Kenneth Cole laptop bag that she had wanted. On Tuesday My parents took us out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and gave her their present as well as one from Tara. It was clothes and a gift card to J. Crew, probably Julie's favorite store.

Today the actual day Julie took key lime cupcakes to work and went to lunch with her project manager Shelly(sp?) at a new restaurant in downtown Portland started by the company that owns Portland City Grill.

After work she came home to me making potato skin snacks with our new mandillion(sp?) chopper, thanks June and Rich. Keith came over and gave her a funny card along with the movie Definitily Maybe, he had a little assist with the present selection but it was just what she wanted.

Of course she got cards from Gandmas and everyone has been remembering to write Julie Stanley on the envelopes which I think makes her happy.

Well that is all from me. Happy Birthday Julie and Good Night.
