Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

In my absence...

I'm so sorry it has taken a work trip to Billings, MT to get me to blog. The new job is a super adjustment, when added to getting settled into the new place, I was simply too overwhelmed to blog. I still have no pictures of the new place to post, but I'm hoping once Melissa gets well she can come over and take a nice photo of us in front of the new place.

In the meanwhile, I'm here hanging out in my hotel room with internet access and no cell phone service. I had a little meltdown this afternoon upon arrival. I realized that I had no service, the temperature was rapidly falling (it is predicted to be 0 F tonight and I DONT drive in bad weather) and I had no idea what to do for dinner or how I'd get to talk to Steven. But I got the laptop up and he got my phone number here and we've chatted a few times now. He even suggested calling the front desk to see if anyone would deliver and they had a nice little catalog of places to choose from. I am sure I paid a handsome price for it, but the peace of mind of not having to leave in a beat up company car with no chains and a questionable gas pedal was worth the 18 dollars. (Plus I can expense it).... My TV is all on an hour earlier here so I've been relaxing and watching reruns and getting ready for an early turn in. I have a king sized bed all to myself!

Tomorrow is a new day and perhaps I'll be in a better mind to retell my fabulous encounters with people on the plane among other things I've got going on...
