Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

A day off...

Last week I gave myself a "day off"...

Prepping Easter is usually a whirlwind of excitement and cleaning and rushing to get things done. I gave myself a day to do whatever I wanted.

What did I choose to do?

Well, it's not very often that I have a 6 foot table with nothing on it set up in my dining room, so I transformed that baby into "sewing central". I finished the baby gifts and worked on a shower present for Lindsey and was going to start some more gifts for stuff coming up this summer, but I got distracted. I also didn't even bother to get of my PJ's all day!
I love "days off"!!
