Our Wonderful Years...

Over the course of the average lifetime you meet a lot of people. Some of them stick with you through thick and thin. Some weave their way through your life and disappear forever. But once in a while someone comes along who earns a permanent place in your heart.

Brown hair, brown eyes. When she smiled, I smiled. When she cried, I cried. Every single thing that happened to me that mattered, in some way, had to do with her. After all, she was my girl. And I knew that she understood that in some small way my achievements were her achievements.

June Pt. 2:

The next weekend we spent the majority in Corvallis for Tara’s College Graduation. We were unable to attend her Business Administration gathering on Friday afternoon, but we were able to all have dinner at Pastini Pasteria after as a family.

Can I just take a moment to say how much I L-O-V-E that place? It is so good, so inexpensive and so neat inside. Seriously- where else can I find excellent pasta (with plenty of non-tomato options), a great glass of wine, awesome ambiance and all for a reasonable price!?! Fabulous if you ask me.

We decided to eat at Francessca’s Gelato shop for one last time before leaving the glory of Corvallis. I was treated to my FAVORITES of’ Roman Holiday’ (Chocolate/Carmel, also one of my FAV movies!) and ‘Snowberry’ (White chocolate/raspberry). Delicious!

Afterwards, everyone went back to the Hotel, but Tara and I ventured out for one last drink at Clod’s (my favorite Corvallis drinking establishment). It was a fond farewell!

Up and at ‘em early the next morning to get to the stadium on time, where it rained on us (we were NOT under cover-boo, plus umbrella’s are BANNED!). Yuck, but the three hour ceremony was worth it in the end as Tara is finished with College. Congratulations to her!

We drove home and I put together a Strawberry Shortcake dessert for Steven as Graduation day was also his 25th BIRTHDAY! We celebrated later that night with a family dinner at Five-0-Three in West Linn. I loved the dinner there too, but it is pricier than Pastini. It was a good way to treat ourselves for a special occasion☺ After a delicious dinner, we all retired to a fabulous feast of strawberries and ice cream and fruit sauce-Oh my! Steven received Tiger Woods Golf for the Wii with the new Motion Plus device. He had to immediately check it out. I laid on the couch and pretended not to be too exhausted!

The next day we were up and at ‘em again to get to Colin’s birthday party at Bullwinkle’s Family Fun Center! It was so much fun!! He was too cute running around with all the other kids and playing on the structures and in the arcade. We helped him win tickets and then watched him spend the almost 400 we’d racked up! The highlight was a family ride on the Go-Karts!!! Seriously- such a good time!

On a side note- Steven and I found a photo booth there that took your picture in the old time strip with four photos. It was well worth the 2 bucks. I hope to be able to scan it and post the strip. It is pretty adorable.
